There are so-o-o many ways to build a list especially if you go for some automatic software to do it for you.  This is not the best way, in my own opinion, to get your list built.  It takes a plan, time, and (yes) effort.

Some affiliate sites such as micro-sites based on one CPA product do not really lend themselves to list building.  If you create a theme-based site, however, such as on a topic like health, diet, dating, forex, or one of the many other popular (or not so popular) topics, a list is the best way to share products that you recommend and therefore can receive affiliate commissions for your recommendations.

As you grow your list and provide value in your blog posts and auto-responder emails, your income will grow.  It can be a slow but reliable and valuable way to increase your income.  Many believe that the only way to really make money online is to create and sell your own products and have joint venture partners who also promote your product.

I beg to differ.  If you build a good list, provide great value to your followers, and have good product recommendations, you certainly can make a good living online.  Then the question is “how do I build this effective list?”

First of all, you have to “care” about those who subscribe to your list.  What do they need?  What are they looking for?  How can you help them?  If it is all about you and how you can make an extra buck, it isn’t going to work–at least not anytime soon.  People can tell when you care about them.  If all you do is promote, promote, promote, then your unsubscription rate will outpace your subscribers.

Next if you care about your list, you won’t worry about its size as much as you worry about their loyalty.  If your subscribers are loyal, it means that you are providing them with the valuable information they are looking for.  It is actually easier to make a good living with a small good loyal list than a huge list you acquired with list swaps and that sort of thing.  It all boils down to “relationships.”

Now to build that relationship with new subscribers, you will need to create some follow-up emails.  The first one should just be a thank you for their trust in giving you their email.  This is a big deal to many folks who don’t want to be on a gazillion lists (another reason for not list swapping).  They should be reassured that you will try to provide them with value and never share their email with anyone else – at least not without their permission.

How many follow-up emails you create or how often you send them out is up to you.  It is often said that you should always promote something in every email or you will be losing money.  Hog wash!  Let’s worry about the subscriber, his/her needs, and developing the relationship so that they can trust you when you DO recommend a service or product.

What about broadcast emails?  They are important as well especially to share new found knowledge about your topic or area of interest.  These also do not always have to be promoting a specific product but are more likely to do so.

You are also probably aware of list building using the social networks and that is a whole different area to work in — on another day.

For now, look around and check for ideas on how you can get started with your own list building path.  You may try making a mindmap of the steps you will take being specific in each of your action steps.  Then just get started as that is the hardest part!

We have all made the mistake before, hiring expensive web designers that end up being no more helpful than a free website that you could have found online.

There’s a cool tool I found that will give you the instant ability to create and embed all types of graphics that are fully loaded with your text and customizations for any web page or blog online. The all-in-one system gives you the power to create sales graphics for all your web pages.

The best part is all of your graphics are saved online, and when you edit them they update live no matter where you have uploaded your embed code. This will save a lot of time, if you’ve ever had to update your graphics then you know what I mean.

Ready to fire your web designer and starting graphics in seconds? It’s really that simple. Period.

There is nothing more to it. Just download your copy, upload to your FTP and create unlimited graphics that are guaranteed to convert and look 100x better than other mucher harder to edit graphic templates available online.

Check out the SalesGraphicsPro creator for easy salespage graphics.

If you think about it, list building follows a fairly simple concept: you come up with a list of names and information. Whatever names and information you get, whatever leads you are able to compile, are then given to clients depending on what they are looking for. But while the concept is simple, there should be some effort put towards building your list because you’re not just making any list, you’re making a quality list with quality leads that quality clients will be looking for. Still, just because you’re willing to make the effort does not mean that you will have to slave away as you get more subscribers. You just have to be smart, and find ways that will let you speedily build a list without compromising the quality of the leads you get.

What to consider

There are a lot of places you can go to for list building because there will always be people (your leads) in all corners of the world. However, because you can’t exactly go around going from door to door and asking for names and information, you can instead make the most of what you can do online. The internet reaches far and wide and you shouldn’t have any problem with access. You can stay at home and yet get around to building a list that clients will seek out. Remember, you have a reputation to build and protect so don’t go around tricking people and doing unscrupulous deeds in the process of building a list. Sure, you will have to be smart with your moves but that does not mean you will have to forget playing fair.

Getting help

If you’ve never done list building before, don’t worry. There are a lot of products available that can help you get started on building your very own list. Look for something simple to use. Look for something affordable to use. Look for something that will teach you the real value of building a list.

Don’t go another day without using an autoresponder to get more sales…

If you want to create a longer term online business, an autoresponder is a tool you really can’t afford to ignore, as this will give you a lot more options when it comes to email marketing. Many new Internet marketers have a misconception about autoresponders; they think that using an autoresponder to grow your profits is a highly complex process and is not everyone’s cup of tea. Fortunately, you don’t have to be a genius to use an autoresponder; you only have to follow a few simple steps. You only have to decide what kind of campaign you want to create and start composing some messages.

Before using an autoresponder service, it’s important to figure out which solution to opt for. Rather than hosting an autoresponder on your server, it’s highly recommended that you subscribe to autoresponder service. Managing your own autoresponder can be a headache, especially when you are starting out. You are basically outsourcing the management for a fee when you subscribe to an autoresponder service like Aweber or GetResponse. This is the most effective way to utilize autoresponders, without worrying about having your email being delivered on time or having any bounce backs.

Another crucial element when it comes to email marketing with an autoresponder is making the subject line of your email enticing enough that your subscriber opens the email and reads it. The subject line of your email is the part that determines whether your subscriber will even read your message or not.

If you want to get your reader’s attention, you have to create a noticeable and interesting subject line. Relevant and compelling subject lines are one of the keys to successful email marketing campaigns. Increasing your open rate is essential for any email campaign, as your subscribers have to read your message before they can take any action on it. With all of the emails everyone gets today, your message has little chance of being read if you don’t give enough thought to your subject line.

To finish; email marketing doesn’t mean that you should be of disinterest to your prospect. Your autoresponder is supposed to make your email marketing easy and at the same time ensure that your subscriber receives interesting messages. If you hope for your subscription rate to amplify with a lower amount of people dropping it, then utilize your autoresponder for sending out messages that are worth of note / tantalizing to your list. If your subscribers start to feel incongruous or jaded after the first few initial emails, you won’t be offered the chance of mesmerizing them or making a strong impression.

As we’ve seen in this article, using an autoresponder in the right way can be one of the most effective ways to build a growing list of responsive, targeted customers. Do your research in terms of keywords, products and your target market so that when you set up your autoresponder campaigns, you’ll know there’s a strong demand for what you have. The above principles can help you get off the ground and begin taking full advantage of autoresponders so you can start building your list.

Have Questions? Need Answers? Keep reading...Let’s first start this discussion by talking about what it actually means to be an Internet Marketing Expert.

Now when I say expert, I’m not talking about the kind who sits around and ‘talks’ about what to do to make money online. There are countless experts out there if that were the criteria. The expert you want to be is a lot different.

You want to be the attention grabbing internet marketer who gets paid for things they have to offer both online and off. These are the ones who can sell millions of dollars in products just by using their name alone.

You’ve most likely bought their videos, their software, their books, systems, courses and more, all in the hopes of following in their footsteps.

Well today is the day to heed some serious real life advice.

You need to not only strive for your marketing goals, but also immediately change the way you look at the internet’s potential to change your life.

Simply put, you need to be a part of the club. The ‘insiders’ tend to know more than the general public, and profit nicely from this information.

Keep reading my blog so you too can be a part of this club. More lessons in this series are coming so make sure you signup for my updates!

Here are some famous Internet Marketing Experts and how they got started:

Seth Godin

Like many other marketers, Seth got his start in business school
– Stanford, actually. After getting his MBA, he worked in
software and book packaging, eventually creating one of the
first online marketing companies, called Yoyodyne.

During this time in this business, he began to realize that the
market is not a place where one can simply hope for the best. A
person needed to have something really special, something that
set him or her apart from the rest of the crowd in a big way.
Seth also introduced the idea that many marketers had forgotten:
customers matter and they deserve to be respected. When dealing
with customers online, Seth pointed out that spamming and other
forms of lies were just not the best practices. Customers were
smarter online and they had more power than they do in the
stores, as they had more options.

Gary Vaynerchuck

Gary started Wine Library TV in 2006 as a way to promote wines
that he loved and to appreciate wine with the help of an
audience. Originally designed to review wines and to answer
questions posed on his Facebook page, Gary’s audience began to
grow. He now has hundreds of thousands of viewers of his daily
wine tastings.

Most of the time, he’s the only one in the chair, tasting the
wines, but over time, he’s had some other folks help him out in
his duties, including Timothy Ferriss. He’s now in a partnership
with eatdrinkordie.com, which allows him to produce videos about
wine which are then distributed to consumers.

*****

As you can see these famous marketers weren’t just born Gurus.
You can have every bit as much success as they did if you
know the way. Now, if you were able to corner any of these super-successful
marketers and ask them what their biggest secret is, what are they going to tell you?

They’re going to tell you ‘The Money Is In The List’ and if you’re not already
building your list and emulating successful marketers like these, then you are
most likely going to fail, it happens time and time again with beginners.

Re: The Ultimate 1-Click WordPress Backup Solution!

On a beautiful late fall afternoon, two Internet Marketers graduated from the same website creation class and proudly set up their new websites. They were very much alike, these two proud marketers.

Both had used the premiere website solution available today – WordPress.

Both were better than average Internet Marketers, both had identified a great niche to conquer and both – as budding businessmen are – were filled with ambitious expectations for the future.

One week ago today I heard from both of them.

They were still very much alike.

They were still both smart, ambitious, businessmen fully capable of real success.

But there was a difference.

One of the men was forced to scrap his WordPress site and start from scratch, losing all the work he put into it. The other had already made enough to take his family to an all inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic.

What Made The Difference?

Okay so there are gobs and gobs of Twitter courses out there.  What your goal needs to be if you are using Twitter as part of your social marketing is to use Twitter efficiently to attract new customers/friends without wasting a bunch of time.

To do that, you can find as many Twitter application software programs as there are courses on how to use Twitter.  So how do you decide?  One of the things that I look for in choosing a course is how that course is presented.  When it is offered, does the author/seller list exactly what is included in the chapters or sections of the course.  If it is video (not my personal preference as I learned to read a long long time ago), then what are each of the videos about and is there a transcript of each lesson/chapter/section?  If the course is in the form of a PDF or Ebook, then I would want the table of contents.

As for software, you probably need to have used a Twitter account for at least a short period of time so that you understand just what the piece of software will be doing for you.  Many of the software programs are really good at performing many of the time consuming tasks you need to do to make Twitter effective.

So…..  what are some of those tasks?  Well, of course, you need to enter your tweets so you can hopefully find Twitter friends.  You need to find people to follow that will be in your niche; in other words, they will be talking about topics that are of interest to you so that you can begin to interact with them.  When you are friends, your tweets will show up on your friend’s Twitter roll and others who read interesting information may click through and request to be your friend also.  There are other ways also of finding users who are in your niche.

My goal here, however, is not to teach you all you need to know about how to use Twitter effectively.  Rather, I would prefer to point you in the right direction of some resources that I use myself.  If you should decide to click on any of them and purchase the course or software, I will probably earn some $$$ and that is how I stay in business so that I can give you suggestions to in turn help your business grow.

The following particular course has videos, PDFs, and a complete list of topics included both in print and on video.  The best part is that it costs less than lunch at McDonalds (and you shouldn’t eat there anyway! LOL).  Just a few of the topics included are:

  • How to create an account that gets noticed
  • A short and painless process that gets you tweeting within minutes
  • Some simple tools that will make Tweeting fun
  • How to find key influencers to follow
  • How to get these influencers to follow you back and network with them
  • How to use Twitter to find potential prospects who need your stuff today
  • How to send Tweets that get noticed and engage in new conversation
  • How to set up custom searches so you know when, where and who has been talking about problems that your business can solve
  • How to enhance your Twitter experience with automation

No, article marketing is not dead no matter what you hear.  What may be dead is posting the same article (spun but not very well) over and over again hoping to get backlinks or whatever.  Our job here is to provide our readers with quality content that they really want and need.  So, you say, what if I’m not a good writer or don’t know what to write.

There are many good article writing and content writing training programs out there.  I first learned from one of the best, Jeff Herring, The Article Guy.  His stuff is not necessarily inexpensive but it is always GREAT.  You can get really good ideas on article marketing from him just by going to EzineArticles.com and searching for Jeff Herring.  Read some of his articles.

I used to very confused and think that articles were just things that you submitted to “article directories” like Ezine Articles.  However, blog posts are also often called articles.  Blog posts are usually just a bit shorter than those submitted to article directories and don’t have a “resource box.”  In fact, one of the great things Jeff teaches is how to draft a resource box that will lead your visitors to clicking through to your website for more information (but the article has to have good info for this to work).

Article Marketing is an important component of your online business especially when it comes to promoting your website.  It can be your blog posts, articles or posts on other Web2.0 properties, articles on other blogger’s sites, or in article directories.

Another informative site for learning Article Marketing skills is a program called “Article Marketing Secrets.”  This guy creates articles in 5 minutes that dominate the competition and suck 70% of the viewers to his website.  Now, I’m not sure you can do this in 5 minutes (everyone’s results are different) but for a very small cost (like going to McDonalds), you can get some really valuable information about article writing and promotion.

Whatever you decide, keep in mind that even if you don’t like to write, it will get easier and easier as you learn new methods and as Nike says, “Just Do It.”
